DOOM

In the year of 2057, humans discovered new alien technology that would allow them to traverse the galaxy. Discovered on Mars, this alien artifact allowed for space travel and the colonisation of other planets. Human civilisation had ascended into the stars and for the next several decades, leaps in technology made human colonies thrive. However, the technology also caused a explosion in population and by by 2088, Earth had become overpopulated. In what was named ‘The greatest famine’ humanity had ever experienced; Twelve billion people lived and fought on the rough rural streets for food and water as the vast majority of Earth’s natural landscape was terraformed into cities. Gangs and outlaws began ruling over the metropolitan areas as police struggled to quell crime. Places like the Great Barrier Reef and the Amazon Forest no longer existed. Human expansion wiped many natural habits off the face of the planet. While those who were born in the struggling generations were bearing the sins of their fathers. Smog and black skies of thunder were common for the oldest cities like London and New York, who were housing hundreds of millions due to the population explosion that occurred decades prior.

It was not until 2134 that light-speed travel was developed and that humanity back on Earth could reap the benefits of this technology. Human conditions greatly improved on Earth as things started to look good. Famine was no longer an issue and environmentalists combated extremists from wiping out the last few animals that existed in confinement. The billions of people on Earth overcame the famine that threatened over half of the entire population. Natural habitats were nursed with extreme care back to health and with minerals and fuels imported from other planets, wildlife on Earth could thrive. With the Amazon forest being rebuilt within three months of Mars minerals harvestation. It was thanks to science and those space marines who protected them, that Earth was saved from itself.

With light-speed now possible, it was possible to dare interstellar travel beyond the solar system, scientists scrambled to utilise the millenia advanced alien technology for various purposes. It opened unimaginable possibilities and could allow for the artificial reconstruction of the Great Barrier Reef or completely reestablish the animal world. However, most wealthy investors were more concerned about the profits, whether it was for weapons or medicine.

Regardless, science thrived and discovered more about space than the deepest darkest depths of the ocean. Thanks to futuristic technology, modern military joined civilian police forces in combating the violent gangs and mobs; Eradicating them completely as their blood and gore spilt over the sewer gutters once and for all. Giving the once war-torn streets of New York peace again.

The unknown power and capabilities of the alien technology was incomprehensible to humanity even in this era. It was capable of extinction on a global scale, misuse of the technology could cause worldwide death and destruction. Global politics argued fiercely about the positives and negatives of the technology, how much it helped advanced civilisation and saved billions of lives from disease. While billions more have already perished from the fruits of war that the technology gave birth too. One thing was for sure, even after almost one hundred years of studying this alien piece of tech, no one could possibly imagine the possibilities it brought, or the destruction it could impose.

That was when, in 2157, global leaders agreed in secret that the piece of alien technology should be studied off-world, and away from prying eyes who could do it harm. The

leaders of each nation sent space marines to a secretive military facility on Mars, they were tasked with both the protection of the scientists and the piece of technology. A company that was formed by the Earth’s most powerful leaders was given the name ‘Union Aerospace Corporation’. A secretive multi-planetary conglomerate that was tasked to research into new revolutionary technology. For a long time since the discovery, transportation drained a lot of resources between the colonies and Earth. This worried the world leaders who had top scientists on Earth predict that even with mineral mining across the galaxy, the resources would deplete over the next century. Something had to happen.

The world leaders came together to discuss what UAC should do with the piece of technology. In a room around a large circular table, various suit wearing figures discussed how humanity could benefit most from this piece of technology at this time. In large, deciding the fate of Earth as they came to a conclusion; To construct a working teleporter. Talks began to happen at the military complex on Mars, space marines laughed and drank to the fantastical idea of a teleporter. If it did work, it would save them from space sickness and dull commuting everyday. The United Nations secretly disclosed to UAC the details of the task, to build a working teleporter between the two orbiting moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos.

In the many months ahead, the scientists scrambled through schematics with engineers to construct a gateway that would allow teleportation between the two moons. The military contractors during this time could not fathom how boring the work would be until today. As today, it was one of the most important days in human history, even if it was secret.

“Phobos, do you read?” A stern but quiet voice asked.

“Copy, We’re ready to conduct test one.” A old but frail scientist responded. Pressing hesitantly on many buttons as he reviewed formulas for the slightest error.

A man on the other head of the transmitter could be heard fumbling a pen between his fingers, distant coughs echoed as Earth’s leaders gathered to witness this live, “Are you sure the measurements are correct?”

“Everything is one hundred percent! But I must warn you, we have no idea what could happen.

Even with science nowadays, it’s inconclusive what the results will yield.” the old man firmly warned. Looking to his young team behind him who all looked to one another in both excitement and concern.

“This is Earth’s last hope if we are to sustain life. You know what’s at stake.”

As the conversation continued, the giant gate-way to the other planet Deimos was enormous.

Lightning arched around the outer rim of the doorway as various port lights flashed steadily as electricity flowed. The door itself was at least 150 feet tall as it stretched for a quarter of a mile outwards. Every so often, bolts of electricity would spark from the revolving energy that pulsed in the door itself, allowing for teleportation to be possible. The secret military complex was a couple hundred feet high, ventilators pumped oxygen throughout the facility as the first test of the new gate-way was about to commence. Situated in a enormous hangar, the test was about to begin. The entire complex was one long corridor of large hangars, sectioned off for scientists and military alike. UAC managed to recruit 10,000 personnel there, most of which was space

marines while a smaller fraction were the essential team of scientists that researched into teleportation.

“Deimos do you read?” Phobos communications prompted.

“Roger Phobos, we are standing by with the teleporter” Deimos promptly responded.

With both science facilities at Phobos and Deimos reporting in. Bright flood lights shined across the hangar, the tension was high as many months of the world's brightest minds and the biggest investors watched with anticipation.

“Conducting Test one of the UAC Teleporter” the lead scientist reported on Phobos. Updating his electronic journal of the progress they have made, regularly updating the United Nations back on Earth with weekly updates.

“Sir?” One of the younger scientists on the team muttered.

“Yes? If you’re wondering, everything is going to be fine. We’ve gone through this many times and we all understand there can be no margin for error.” The frail man responded, his concentration firmly fixed onto the giant archway for the teleporter.

Tension was high, all around the gateway, Space marines and scientists watched the spectacle of the teleportation. Thousands were gathered at the Phobos facility as a loud robotic voice came on over the intercoms, “T-MINUS - 30 SECONDS”

Hearts pounded away from the months worth of work, many of the hardened space marines even felt the tension from inside their suits. Sweat poured down the anxiety ridden scientists on the ground floor as they awaited impatiently. Earth’s fate rested on this experiment being a success, and that if the alien technology was destroyed, it would mean the end of humanity on Earth.

“T-MINUS - 10 SECONDS!” a female robotic voice called out, as the sound of silence was broken by the electrical circuits powering up the archway. The sound steadily built up and echoed throughout the chamber, the ambient blue light radiated from the teleporter as the light suddenly became fully illuminated in a bright blue light!

“3....2....1......TELEPORTER ESTAB----” Suddenly, the robotic voice was cut off. Cheers from the crowds on the ground floor were cut off as the red lights started flashing. The once fully illuminated room was shrouded in damp darkness as the once blue portal was now Dark red and orange. The hellish glow of the portal lighting the room ever so slightly as something was not right, people looked to one another in concern and then upwards at the command centre.

They felt the room heat up exponentially, heat waves gently erupted from the teleporter as those from far away could now only see the blurry outline of the teleporter, as if they opened up the Sahara Desert itself. Sparks of orange electricity flew across the hangar, people ducked and fled to a safe distance as the computers in the command centre started to explode.

“What is going on here!?” The lead scientist angrily demanded, slamming his fists onto the table as a familiar voice come on.

“Status report! What is going on up there?” The United Nations asked, those in the room were concerned as they leant over the table and sweated excessively.

“No idea!” He shouted, “Deimos, what’s happening over there!?” But there was no answer, only static as if they were cut off.

As the chaos ensured, one of the younger boys of the scientists who watched stuttered as he approached the main console. “S-Sir?”

“What!? What is it!” He angrily retorted.

A sudden chill came across the command centre as they looked outside the window of the command centre. They had all gathered at the window, looking over the red barren landscape of Phobos and into the distant sky. A sudden realisation had crept down their spines. Deimos had vanished.

The lead scientist wiped his forehead, panting as he chillingly reported. “Test one was a disaster. Deimos has completely vanished!” As he turned away from the main control panel, he looked to his scientists and muttered, “Begin evacuation” as a voice over the intercom started yelling desperately for updates. Moments later the connection was cut off from Earth.

Computers started to malfunction in the command centre, scientists began to evacuate as the computers started to explode, a huge ‘CRITICAL ERROR!’ was displayed overhead of the main control, lightning the room up with it’s orange glow.

“A malfunction!?” He said in shock, rubbing his forehead with the back of his head as he tried to flip through the co-ordinates. However, no co-ordinates could be found for Deimos.

“Why are the computer systems on Phobos malfunctioning!?” A military commander insisted.

Pacing up and down the room impatiently.

“We-We don’t know...” the lead scientist muttered, unable to answer why as the computers within the room started to explode from electrical overlord. “We are doomed...” At that moment, the military commander went onto the military microphone “EVACU---” as his cries of agony were disrupted, the connection cut off as all those in the hangar and around the facility watched as the command centre for the portal exploded into a great flaming ball. Rubble erupted like volcano as multiple people were injured, those who dived out the way barely saved themselves as the situation got worse by the minute. Fires were fought as something stirred everyone's attention at once. Silence broke out across the large hangar where thousands stood in fear, looking up to the portal that was still open;

“WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE !?” The Demonic voice growled in curiosity, his voice came from within the portal. Space marines trembled before the portal, given orders to hold fire as they heard the slow but beastial breathing on the other side. It echoed throughout the chamber and instilled a sense of hopelessness to those who aimed their rifles up at the portal. As if it was in vain. Those in the hanger backed up several steps, while a dozen marines were ordered up to the portal to scout it, cautious to not get too close to what the voice was.

Suddenly, a giant foot swung through the gateway, accompanied by a thick muscular thigh as the foot instantly squashed the dozen of marines down in a instant. Cries of agony were heard

over intercoms as in a instant their lives were merely a blood smear beneath the foot of the monster. The entirety of the beast stepped through the portal to fully reveal himself, standing at over 100ft, the demon snarled as it’s head peered around the hangar.

“W-What is it...?” One of the marines grimaced. Looking at the foot of the monster as it had four thick toes, accompanied by ebony black claws as the sole of the beast looked worn and rough as if walking on a hard surface. His eyes, like the thousands around him looked upon the monster in the few moments of silence before the conflict. Their eyes followed the monster as they took steps back to take in the full grandeur of the demonic overlord. The Hell Knight was covered in a exoskeleton that can withstand any military weapon to date, their body was well defined and muscular. Giant black claws to swipe away any resistance. While the Hell Knight had no eyes, it was similar to the Xenomorph in that the dome head gave resistance to the human weapons, it’s nostrils non-existent as it’s bloodied fangs were on full display.

Just as quickly as the demon had crushed the pile of remains beneath his foot, his other foot precisely struck right into the masses of space marines spaced away from the archway. Most shielded themselves with their arms as others tried to make a desperate attempt to flee; All of them were caught underfoot as the horrifying sound of their bodies mangling and bones crackling echoed in the hangar, muffled cries could be heard underfoot until the Hell Knight sneered, his head tilted in gruesome ecstasy as he grinded his foot sideways and relished the thought of trapped insects beneath his grizzly foot. The Hell Knight inhaled deeply as he looked down to the ground in front of his feet, peering over his muscular pectorals as he his foot crushed a group of helpless scientists. “

“Ahhh...” he sighed with malice, several scientists pleaded and had their faces crushed into the stainless steel beneath them. ““Right where you belong...” The Hell knight paused, ““Right beneath my feet.” He deeply exhaled, flexing his toes in anticipation. The gargantuan began casually trampling the hordes of helpless UAC members who fled from the frontlines. Each step crushed dozens of scientists and soldiers alike as the demon was cold but calculating in his path of destruction. However, the military had to contain the threat and prepared heavy artillery and tanks to fire upon the demon.

“Open fire!” The ground commander called out, and a volley of bullets and rockets volleyed out towards the titan. Explosions littered the body of the Hell Knight as he was thrown a step back by the force of the concentrated fire. The firepower of the UAC Military personnel mustered enough force to slightly wince the demon, one that would have fatal consequences. The eery silence of the aftermath condemned those who stood before the demon to their fate. As the thousands of soldiers looked upon the monster, they saw his disgusted sneer. The marines shocked and terrified that a demon could take such devastation, yet alone exist.

“RETREAT!” The ground commander ordered, soldiers looked up to the demon one last time, almost unable to break their eyesight as they fled. Front-line soldiers began retreating while the back-line of the army flooded through large hangar doors and prepare a final defense for the monsters as civilians were evacuated.

Emergency evacuations protocols were launched as the base was put onto red alert. With the power cut out of the facility, air horn sirens manually sounded as the base was in full retreat of

the demon. Some space marines continued firing onto the demon while tanks provided covering fire.

“WARNING, CRITICAL OVERLOAD. EVACUATION IN FULL PROGRESS. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.” A female voice sounded over the intercom, emergency power was transmitted by a off-base source. While the power had temporarily returned, the UAC base was still dim, dark and gruesome to bare sight too.

The Hell Knight leant down towards dozens of marines, picking them up carefully as he cupped them in his rough sandpaper like palm. The space marines were brought up to the full height of the Knight, the speed so fast they quickly lost their attached weapons. While the demon could not see them, he could sense them, smell them. Bringing them close enough to

his face, he hissed, “Ah...Humans!” he hissed evilly.

“How befitting that your species would summon their own doom” the Hell Knight sadistically teased. The demon stayed composed while taking enemy fire, though it was so pitiful at this point that the Hell Knight ignored it entirely. Demonic power channeled from hell itself coursed through his very veins and gave him that invulnerability. The Hell Knight began to painfully squeeze the little humans into this palm, watching them mangle as he stopped for a moment.

Before the demon grinned widely and cruelly, giving in to his temptation as he popped one of the space marines between his thumb and finger. The barbaric feeling aroused the demon, amused by the human popping into a blood cloud as their gore was dropped onto the ground amongst a crowd of marines, all of whom which were buried immediately underneath a thick demonic toe. Which slowly excruciated the humans as it lowered onto them, pulverised their bodies as their painful deaths were drawn out for the demons bloodthirsty pleasure. While the Hell Knight was amusing himself with the humans, he was sent a message by a Baron of Hell to do his bidding, and to lead his army of hell throughout the facility and destroy everything.

To send a message to the humans below. The Hell Knight raised his head up slightly, the giant monster opened it’s jaws up, greeting the poor victims with razor sharp chasms of fangs as gore would fresh from his teeth. In the monster's grasp further down, the humans rested on the palm of the claw, teased with the black gullet that was like the void of space itself as they could feel the disgusting breathe of the monster brisk over them. The Hell Knight felt their bodies squirmed and relished listening to their pleas as much as teasing them with their torturous demise. Walking along a couple of steps, the demon stepped on a couple of injured soldiers who attempted to crawl away, their arms extended out for help as they vanished into the giant metallic foot-print left by the monster. Their screams silenced as their gore sprayed over the visors of marines several meters away, if any were to survive, they would be haunted with that image for the rest of their lives. A few moments passed by, and with the claw extended over the gaping maw, the marines cried out for help as they were dropped into the gaping maw of the monster. Sending the dozens of marines to their deaths as the monsters swallowed most of them whole, snapping his fangs shut as several marines were severed in half, their limbs painting the teeth red as their remains dropped onto the ground with a splat. Those inside reached to cling onto anything with dear life. The Hell Knight knocked his head back, massaging his throat as he gulped them down sadistically, licking his lips as he felt them travel down into his gut where they would be digested alive. Others watched in sheer helplessness as scientists flooded through the hanger doors and towards the exit and towards the second and last hangar.

While the military held off for as long as they could. Leaning back down again once more, the Hell Knight picked up the last of the military soldiers in the portal room. greedily clutching tens of them in his gigantic claw as he looked down at them. “Disgusting....” he growled, flexing his muscular bicep as he agonizingly crushed them into their armor. The soldiers harrowing cries echoed out as their bones snapped, limbs severed as they were all squashed into unrecognisable pieces of metal, the Hell Knight hissed with inhuman delight as his palms were lubricated with the blood of the vile creatures. Grinding them in between his palms before sprinkling them onto the group of quarrelling scientists as he laughed evilly, enjoying their petrified expressions as some even cried. The Demon relished every moment, taking in the sight of the scientists being tortured by the claw crushed marines.

“Die....” The demonic voice boomed, grimly lowering his heel onto the front of the group, crushing a scientist's body as it went limp, while the toes curled down towards the ground, cupping the scientists and skewering a couple of them at the end of his claw-nails. While deciding what to do, the Hell Knight rumbled ferociously, tapping his claw-nail onto the ground as he watched the life fade from the humans. The worn demonic sole smothering them under his hefty weight as it started to smear them. Flexing his gargantuan thighs, the demon unleashed his urge to crush the humans, their soft breathe and muffled pleas into his humid flesh were for naught. Their bodies smeared delicately as the tens of scientists were liquified into a giant puddle of gore, sticking to his crimson bloodied soles as the Hell Knight hissed quietly. The humans were theraputic to his demonic soles, the squirms and helplessness only fueled the Hell Knight with more lust and power as their souls continued to feed his rampage.

Meanwhile, back at the gateway, it pulsed brighter and hummed louder by the hour.

Demons began to flood out of it like an endless army, screeching and growling for blood. Their steps covered in the blood of the victims as the Hell Knight peered over his shoulder and muttered a single command, “Kill all of them. I want every single human to be obliterated this instant!!” Just like that, the Demons began spreading to every entrance and exit of the hangar, howls of pain sounded out from humans and demons alike as firefights occurred outside as several attempted to flee into the barren wastelands of Phobos. While the fights continued to happen, tanks began firing at the Hell Knight once more as he had ignored them. Three tanks lined up and defended the hangar door to the civilian section of the facility, their turrets firing helplessly in a bid to help those escape. Amused by the tanks, the Hell Knight pressed a single toe onto a tank. Just as a soldier attempted to escape, he was forced back into the tank in a cry of anguish as multiple marines were flattened alive in the metallic coffin. Metal and flesh mangled alike as it was flattened like a car crushed by debris, his toe smeared viscously left and right like the tank was a bad habit. Two tanks remained, one of the tanks was quickly whisked from the ground. Held up high into the air before the Hell Knight clamped down his fangs right into the centre of it, instantly killing those inside as he tore it apart. Feeling feral from the moment, the demon threw it through the hangar wall with the innards of the soldiers gore landing on multiple people fleeing in the next room. With one final tank, the Hell Knight picked it up, inspecting it before he clamped his fingers around it and squeezed. His muscular biceps flexed, his body bulged into pure power and masculinity as the demon locked his jaw and under his breathe, demonically murmur “Yes......”.

Moments later the tank was crushed in on itself as the demon threw the remains to the hellish armies to devour.

In the next Hangar, evacuation attempts were being made. Demons could be heard slamming onto the door with their screams as the last of the marines began barricading the door and preparing a final diversion for the desperate escape. Hordes of scientists gathered their research as quickly as possible, making a retreat for the dock where several spacecraft were stationed for evacuations like this.

Without any notice, the gigantic hangar wall that separated the two hangars collapsed. Debris rained down like hellfire amongst the fleeing crowds as the dust obscured everything in sight.

Tremors became heavier as the last line of marines felt their ear drums rung fiercely.

When all of a sudden, a giant foot came through the clouds of dust, spiralling the dust around it as it suddenly collapsed onto the marines. The grim fate of those before them prominent, as their last few moments in life was staring up to the gory demonic sole as it squished them into pieces. The Hell Knight flexed in a show of power and awe, sighing delightfully as his jaws parted and his breath washed over the room like the plague. Grinding his heel into the marines, he felt their remains squelch nicely as his toes flexed and smeared the last couple of marines.

Their heads writing underneath as he suffocated them beneath the weight of his toe; Humiliating them for all their worth before he caved their skulls in.

Now that the last of the marines were gone, the scientists were helpless as the rush to the docked ships escalated. The thousands of marines toyed with by the demonic overlord as his minions began chasing down the crowd past his feet. Washing beside them like a stream as as he began to make his way through the hangar. Only turning his head to peer over his shoulder, kicking the hangar door open with the back of his heel as he allowed his swarms of demons to begin flooding through. Most of the large hangar was beginning to collapse from the miniature earthquakes the demon caused with every step, his senses flared as he looked down to the sea of scientists. Walking amongst the humans as every step was slow but precise, relishing the crunch of the brittle bones as one foot followed the other. With his feel pulverising many helpless scientists. His jaw parted and the room echoed his deep, slow and gluttonous breathing. Drool dripping down onto those in front as the Hell Knight grinned with crimson red fangs.

In a matter of minutes, the demon strolled across the entirety of the second hangar as the scientists began to gradually dwindle. Their cries and pleas only aroused the Hell Knight even more, leaving nothing but enormous demonic foot prints into the ground that melted the metal with their heat. As the Hell Knight came to the entrance of the facility, his claw quickly swiped through the stampede of scientists, held in gridlock from the amount of them attempting to escape. His claws eviscerated all those that were not in his palm, limbs went flying in every direction. While those fortunate enough to not get crushed by his footsteps met a far worse fate as they vanished into the army of demons that mimicked the Hell Knight and crushed their heads underfoot. The human bodies pulverised underfoot by the armies of hell. Holding them in his claw, the Hell Knight was very tempted to end their lives. However the scent of these scientists were different in comparison to the marines he devoured earlier. The demon raised his open palm of scientists to his face, breathing over them as they withered before him. His thick tongue slithered out from his maw, sliding up and down the scientists as he could taste their fear, and it was delicious. As the men screamed like children, the slow tender lick of the Hell Knight brought them all into his maw as his tongue curled around them like a blanket. When the Hell Knight was satisfied at the taste of them, he started to chew them between his gates of fangs. Muffled screams could be heardas the fangs chewed through the scientists, their screams went quiet after several bone crunches and then, it was quiet. With the exception of one scientist. This scientist was the last one in the maw, the Hell Knight rubbing all over him the gored remains and blood of his friends, before he was sent into the belly of the demon alive.

Sent screaming down the gullet as the demon threw his head back and gulped cruelly.

The taste of humans only lasted until the Hell Knight roared, his roar shook the foundations of the hangar as his toes came down onto the last remnants of humans in this hangar, unaware of them as he felt victorious. His body was covered with the gore of the human's, blood splatters marking his body as the Hell Knight laughed demonically, until he heard the sound of space ships beginning to take off. Without a moment's hesitation, he slammed through the entrance hangar and to the outside of the facility. The red earth greeted him as the soft breeze carried the dust. His keen senses picked up a landing pad that would house a couple of escaping spacecraft. With disgust, he stomped over the outside of the facility and right up to the dock, ignoring the many scientists in their space suits as they were trampled into the red earth. The steps caused miniature shock waves as the dock vibrated with his every step. Anxiety and a sense of doom came over those in the space ships, and just as the Hell Knight approached the dock, a crowd of frantic and begging humans slammed onto the dock doors to let them in.

“What a lovely welcome matt for me to wipe my feet on...!” The Hell Knight taunted, as the crowd turned around in sheer shock as they manically screamed in desperation. They looked up to the outlandish skies, surrounded by a canyon of rocks either side as they were doomed. With a withered tree in the distance, the scientists all cried out like a synchronised choir as the demon balanced himself with his arms, his enormous sole coming down onto them as their space suits crumbled and cracked like popcorn beneath his gigantic foot. Smearing his foot into the ground as he felt the remains squelch and bubble underneath. His other foot followed the same procedure as he trampled the gigantic pile of remains for effect.

As the engines began to fire up, the demon came pummeling through the docks. Multiple ships started to fire up their engines as the Hell Knight stayed composed but casual, four ships began to take off as the Hell Knight crushed two of the ships under each foot. Miniature explosions sounded beneath his titanic step as the heat wave caressed his worn gory feet. One ship had began to take off, and just before it could evacuate the facility, the Hell Knight grasped

it within his claw. “THERE WILL BE NO SURVIVORS!!” the Hell Knight chuckled out demonically, his head turned towards the pilots as if making eye contact, before his palm collapsed into the spacecraft and crushed it to pieces. With one large spacecraft which housed the last survivors of the UAC base, his toe came directly onto it. The toe was like an eclipse to the crew, the shadow extending into the horizon as the scientists attempted to escape. The doors became jammed as they looked outside and saw two enormous toes blocking either side, trapped inside as the toe rubbed along the front screen where tens watched as the demon relished his victory.

Gradually pressing his toe down, the demon arched his back and moaned quietly in a deeply sadistic tone. Feeling the spacecraft cave in around his toe was a delightful sensation to the Hell

Knight that made him slither, “Victory has never felt so rewarding....”. With the ship being completely flattened, blood began to funnel out of every crack of the wrecked spacecraft, the Hell Knight smearing it onto the runway as it stuck to his toe-pad like a disgusting piece of gum.

With the last of the humans eradicated, the Hell Knight looked over to the outposts and remaining buildings situated from the main two hangars. He peered over the scene as fires broke out and distant pleas could be heard from those who attempted to hide from his demonic army. Satisfied that his armies could vanquish the survivors across the planet and over-run reinforcements, the Hell Knight took a casual stroll through the base. Unaware that he crushed several tanks who attempted to fight his armies back, and military soldiers with jetpacks who attempted to fly out of the way but were firmly crushed under foot in a blink of an eye. Now that the UAC military base was taken over by Hell, the Hell Knight smugly grinned to himself as he walked through the hangar and met the welcoming orange glow of the gateway once more.

Without a single word, the gigantic macro Hell Knight gradually vanished into the Hellish glow of the teleporter. The minions of Hell sabotaging the giant archway behind him as they destroyed it.

For the next couple of days, demons from Hell began to manipulate the UAC teleporter experiment. Perfecting it as they began opening additional but much smaller portals to transport troops onto Phobos.

Back on Earth the United Nations was worried sick, unable to decide what plan of action to take as all communications went down with both Phobos and Deimos. With the complete disappearance of Deimos, and the radio silence on Phobos, the United Nations panicked and speculated what could've happened. However, if the teleporter was open to an unknown enemy, relief transport and emergency medical supplies could be flown right into an ambush.

“Gentlemen....” The head of the United nations spoke, with a strong English accent as he held a lit cigar between his fingers. “With an entire planet vanishing and our lab completely silent, this experiment was a catastrophic failure.” The notion of failure meant that trillions were spent setting up for a disaster that could of instead been used for good back on Earth. “It has been seventy two hours since we last heard from UAC on Mars. I can not stress this enough, but everything I continue to say will be kept secret from the public. Is that understood?” Around the table, people nodded in the dimly lit room as the head of the UN continued, “With the failure of this experiment, means that our species will inevitably die in a few hundred years...”

A young blonde woman in her mid-thirties, raised her hand but the head of the UN dismissed it with a wave of a hand. Instead motioning her to just speak her mind, “Sir....” She softly spoke, “We need to take action now. The longer we stall, the more likely the experiment could fail. For all we know, it could still be technical--”

“FOR THIS LONG?” One man interrupted. “How long do you think ‘woman’ that a technical difficulty could last for?”

“Quiet!” The head called, his booming voice silenced the room as he turned on the projector, showing schematics of a distress signal being called in main facility where the experiment took place. “This was not just a technical issue, this was a attack on the UAC facility.”

“From what? No one could've known what we were doing there.” the blonde spoke quietly, feeling a bit flustered from before as he flickered her shoulder-length hair over her back.

“No one knows.” the head bluntly spoke, “But from whatever it was, we have the distress call logged from several minutes after the gateway went live; And we detected no intruders from outsides the planets orbit.”

“We need to investigate it.” the blonde spoke, “The longer we wait, the more likely we will fail to ever know what has happened.” Once the blonde had finished, the Head of the UN nodded to her. It was the strongest suggestion on the table so far, and as he looked around; No one offered any better solutions. Despite the preparations for every scenario, alien technology could not offer answers for what happened. With the UN on Earth in unanimous agreement, the head of the UN contacted the marine base on Mars;

“UAC Mars, this is the UN. We have a job for you.” The man spoke, smoking his cigars as he viewed the strategy and battle plan for the infiltration and truth about what had happened to the experiment.

“Copy that UN, what’s the job sir?” An old general responded, blowing cigar over his intercom as he started reading through the logs and information the UN had already recorded.

“We need you to send a squad up to the Phobos UAC facility. Find out what has happened.”

The Head of the UN sternly said, masking his anxiety through his confident bravado. “And General?”

“Yes sir?” He answered.

“Send that marine - DOOMguy. If it’s what we fear, it’ll be Hell on Earth.”
