Sniffing The Problem Out

Jay had been trying to perfect his teleportation spell, attempting to finally get it right so he doesnt have to walk to the market every time he needs potion materials. Jay is your average Drizzle, blue skin, some green accents on his hands and feet.

"Cmon.. this mixture of magic HAS to work this time!" Jay says out to himself, waving his hands in a magical way before the glyph on the floor lights up, glowing to signify its prepped and ready for teleportation.

"Alright, it's now or never.." Jay says as he steps into the light of the teleportation spell, and blinks away. The ground fading as the one way portal wears off..

Jay appears with a shimmer of teal light, rematerializing in this new spot, expecting to see the town market, all he sees is darkness, and all he feels is a slimy floor, and massive gusts of wind blowing by..

"Oh curse Arceus! This combo didnt work either! Guess I'll go back and try aga- Wait, where is my component bag?!" Jay says anxiously, quickly realizing he'd left it on his experiment table and slapping his forehead with his palm.

"Oh of fucking course.." Jay says, angrily stomping the wet, slimy ground.

Looking around in the dark didnt give Jay much of an idea of where he was, quickly he conjured up a small ball of light to float above his shoulder. Walking along and looking around he saw that whatever strange place hes in, its tight, slimy, and clay colored? Walking forward towards the breeze that flows in, the wet, slimy walls get tighter and tighter, forcing Jay to have to crawl and squeeze himself through the tight clay walls. Strangely, as he squeezes his way through, the cave around him feels, hot.. And almost like its moving..

However Jay has no time to think about that when he pops out into a new cavern, his light showing new, disgusting greenish/yellow globs stuck to the walls, floor, and ceiling of this cave. "Where the hell did I end up? I-im still on earth, right?" Jay says to himself, worrying in his mind that somehow hed teleported off planet and into some alien cave system. Pushing forward, Jay shimmies his way around the disgusting blobs, some of them sliding and dropping to the floor around him.

After some time, the breeze gets stronger, and it's coming in and blowing out strangely, almost as if its alive..

"I've never been in a cave that, breathes before. That's, probably not a good sign.." Jay says, stumbling on a bump in the ground and getting his hand stuck in one of those slimy blobs. "Oh FUCK WHAT IS THIS ?!" Jay says, yanking his hand out and shaking residue off before moving on, hoping to find an exit soon.

Almost as if his prayers had been answered, Jay finally finds light at the end of the tunnel! "Oh thank Arceus, light!" Jay belts out, starting to sprint, and failing to notice a large bump, tripping over it and flying forward, before coming to rest in a huge, almost neon green and yellow mass. Flailing around, Jay manages to get his head up out of the glob, gasping for air and sputtering out gross slime.

"EUGH, THIS TASTES TERRIBLE! And let me guess.. I'm stuck now too.."

Sure enough, Jay was right. His body starts to settle in the glob, making it hard for him to move anything that's not his head. "Well, at least it cant get worse.." That's where Jay was wrong.

As he's struggling in the glob of slime, a darkness covers the light, looking like a massive worm, a lip of bone protruding from its head as it enters the cave. The beast seemingly flails around, perhaps its blind? Jay muses to himself albeit in a panic as the worm gets farther and farther in, digging around at the slime globs and catching a bunch of its head and under the protruding bone, including Jay. Jay's glob mixes in with the others, solidifying him more in the nasty slime, before the beast, pulls out? Jay is pulled away, out of the darkness and finally into the light, his eyes adjusting to the light as he sees finally where he is.

"Hold on, is this?.."

Jay says, realizing exactly where he is.

"IM IN LAX'S PLACE?!" Jay shouts out as he turns his head and sees a giant Slaking slob, nose running slightly as his beanie clad head and long bangs look down right at Jay. Realizing exactly where he was, Jay almost vomits as he now knows what hes stuck in, a huge glob of nasty slob snot. However, Jay also realizes that this could be his chance to get help out of this mess! He knows Lax, they're buddy-buddy to each other, surely he'll help, right?

Aware Ending

Jay struggles with all his might in the drying mass of snot he's stuck in, managing to get an arm out in time to wave frantically at the giant slaking.

"Aw yeah. That's a nice nugget right there~" Lax says to what he assumes is himself, lifting the glob up to his mouth, ready to eat it! Jay is frightened and disgusted at the knowledge the Lax picks his nose like this his arm going wild as he yells out,

"LAX PLEASE LOOK DOWN HERE, PLEASE DONT EAT ME!"

Jay yells out, desperate to get the attention of his pal Lax, using all his energy to try and be noticed.

By some miracle Lax hesitates,

"Actually, lemme get a good look at that beauty before its sent down."

Lax says, shifting his hair out and revealing his gigantic eyes. Scanning over the nugget, he initially doesnt see anything wrong, admiring his nose's work. However, he suddenly notices a small, blue speck in his snot. Digging his fingers around and separating the blue as much as he can from the sticky snot, placing it in his palm and getting a super close look at it.

"J-Jay? Is that you!? How'd you get in my nose?!" Lax says in surprise.

Jay explains as best he can what occured today, granted Lax only hears a squeaky, barely audible version of it, yet one all the same. Lax decides to take a trip to Jay's place to help him get home safely, and maybe a snack in return once he's normal again!

Jay has a soft, warm ride within the pocket of Lax's sweatpants, the cool fall air outside stopped by thick, cotton pants. Jay almost falls asleep on the way before he's plucked out and set on his research desk. Able to reach the required materials to grow himself back, Lax and Jay make up by going out and getting some ice cream, satisfied with a wild day ending peacefully.

Unaware Ending

Jay tries with all his might to get any limbs out of the snot, wriggling and flailing his body to no avail. Trapped completely, he does the only thing he can, scream.

"LAX PLEASE LOOK DOWN HERE IM IN YOUR SNOT, PLEASE!"

Jay shouts and screams, and he thinks he finally got the attention of his giant friend as the slaking looks down, through thick bangs.

"Meh, not really the biggest nug. Whatever, I havent check the other nostril yet." Lax says to what he believes is himself, much the the dismay of Jay.

Jay's blood goes cold. His screams didnt reach, there's no way Lax is going to noti-

Jay's thoughts are interrupted as another finger comes into view, eclipsing the lamp in the room.

"NOOO LAX YOU LAZY SLO-MMPHH!!"

Jay yells in vain as the finger presses him down into the snot glob, submerging him entirely.

Lax begins to lazily roll the snot around between his fingers, his mind on a video he's currently watching. The oil from his fingers hardens the outer edge of the snot ball, trapping Jay inside as it comes to rest on the slakings' finger. With one swift flick, the ball of snot is sent flying, off to the other side of the room, and landing in the trash bin. Luckily for Jay, the snot splatters on impact, freeing him. However, as he comes to after having passed out mid flight, he realizes where he was sent and cries out in frustration,

"Why did it have to be Lax!"
