Why had he even come to this stupid pool party?

Ben twisted the silver band on his finger as he glanced around the yard. The snow leopard stood alone near the edge of the party. The more he fidgeted, the more he realized he really shouldn’t have come.

Was it a good idea to step out of his comfort zone? Sure. Was he invited to the party? Yes. Was he standing all by himself at the edge of the yard? Absolutely. Should he just leave the party at this point? One-hundred percent.

He stared at the mass of strangers and thought about the best way to move through them and into the house. Then he just had to go sit in the car and he could wait for his friend to finish up. He’d just taken a step towards his goal when he was stopped in his tracks by a firm grip on his shoulder and turned around.

“Hey! Here ya’ are! I’ve been looking all over for ya’.”

Ben’s heart thumped and his throat ran dry. He’d found himself face-to-pec with the fluffy, tawny chest of the reason he had come: his friend Noah. It was pure luck that brought him to staring at the firm muscles and clean cut fur of the lion. He opened his mouth to speak but the words caught in his throat.

The lion’s face showed a hint of concern. “Hey man, you okay? You haven’t even gone in the pool, and you’ve still got your shorts on,” the lion said.

Ben swallowed, wetting his nervous throat. “Y-yes! Just p-peachy!” He croaked out with an unconvincing smile on his face. “J-just haven’t felt like getting in the pool.” The snow leopard twisted his ring nervously, mind flashing with images of the attractive lion as the pair had changed into some hastily bought speedos for this party.

Noah frowned. “I’m not buying it, bud,” he said pointedly. “Don’t worry, we can head out. Why don’t you head inside and I’ll go let my friends know I’m leaving?”

Ben nodded eagerly. The lion gave him a clap on the shoulder and moved off into the crowd of people. The snow leopard watched the bulky lion slip through the crowd, weaving between groups of party-goers with quick greetings. At first.

Then, he saw something that made the party worth the hassle.

The snow leopard’s eyes wandered down a bit and watched the firm ass of the lion bounce in his red speedo as he twisted his body.

He bit his lip as he followed the lion’s bouncing cheeks until he lost sight of them. What he wouldn’t give to be under those cheeks, he wondered, realizing he couldn’t think of a single thing.

Ben had first met the lion online. They’d met playing Request of Responsibility 4: Contemporary Warfare, and hit it off pretty quickly. They’d hop in a call for hours playing. It was only by coincidence that after months of playing they realized they actually lived only an hour apart. The lion had quickly thought of inviting his friend to a pool party as his plus one.

Ben had been reluctant for personal reasons. He wasn’t one for public or crowded places. He was a shy person, and didn’t care much for meeting people. But the lion had found both of those excuses lacking. Ben was forced to relent, worried he’d otherwise have to reveal his secret.

But now, he was stuck at the party. At least only for a few more minutes. He twisted the ring on his finger once more, before he began to make his way through the crowd. The short big cat lacked the feline grace of the lion, stepping on toes and bumping into people. He was quick to apologize, but the glares he got rattled his nerves a lot more than he’d anticipated. He truly couldn’t help it, not yet used to controlling his body at this size.

He’d managed to make it to the side of the pool when he spotted his friend talking to a wolf in blue trunks. He took a step forward without looking, accidentally stomping the tail of a nearby tiger who bolted upright in surprise. As the tiger’s broad back smacked into the snow leopard, Ben threw both hands out in front of himself to try and catch himself.

It happened in an instant. The flash of silver on the air as Ben saw the ring slide off his finger, headed in the same arc as he was. Everything around him warped in size as the snow leopard’s true form came into view: a micro. With a crash, he slammed into the surface of the pool.

The tiger looked around behind himself to see what had stepped on his tail. His confusion grew as he only saw a pair of empty cargo shorts, a blue speedo, and two small splashes of water.

For the tiny big cat, the world was a flurry of bubbles. He flailed his arms, his eyes burning from the chlorine in the water. He was forced to close them, the last sight his ring - his salvation - drift to the depths, fathoms below himself. He felt his body spin and flip as the current around him tossed his body about. Eventually, he managed to breach the water, gasping for breath.

He changed his mind again: he definitely shouldn’t have come.

Ben looked around the pool, treading water to keep himself afloat as tiny waves from the macro swimmers crashed over his miniscule form - no more than an inch tall. Wave after wave pushed his head under before he would surface again, sputtering water with a hacking cough.

The pool stretched around him for miles, the bottom thousands of feet below him. The rim of the pool was a cliff towering over a dozen feet above him. And the macros moving through the pool were like sea monsters of legends, making waves large enough to knock him under.

How was he supposed to get out? At this height, he was much too small to walk out, and he doubted he’d be able to get a macro’s attention for help. Besides, even if he could, how could he trust someone with that much power over himself? No, for now his best bet would be to get near the stairs and hope he could hitch a ride out.

Determined to escape his predicament, he paddled over to the wall. If he stayed close to the wall, he would avoid being seen. It had to have taken twenty minutes. At his size, he could only make it so far before he had to take a break.

His first obstacle had come out of nowhere. Two solid blocks of flesh crashed down into the water. He was dragged under as the massive paw collided with his body, pushing him far below the surface. Then, the currents around him began to shift further as the paws began to splash and swing. The waves created a hazardous environment for him as he once more made it back up.

A grizzly bear leaned back, nursing a bear in one hand with his feet in the water. After a long day of walking, the water felt so good on his paws. He idly kicked them back and forth, dunking them in the water to refresh the relieving cold. The bear chatted casually with some friends. The party was a great time!

Meanwhile, wave after wave knocked Ben back, halting any meaningful progress he could make. Unable to swim across on the surface, he chose to go under. As he went down, he began to move forward. The first kick to his back sent him deeper, but aware of what was happening, he tried his best to press forward. He’d made it past the second paw and moved closer to the surface again. Only to be met with a second kick, this time from a swinging paw scooping him up out of the water and flinging him across the pool.

The tiny cat bounced across the water like a rock skipping on a lake. His body rolled as it slapped along the surface. When he finally came to a stop, he lay there. He floated on his back, taking sharp, shallow breaths. His body felt weak, but he could tell he didn’t have any lasting injuries. He counted himself lucky to just need some ice packs after his trip across the water.

Fortunately for him, the kick had expedited his journey. He was a stone’s throw from the steps. Eager to find some form of escape, he began to swim directly to the stairs. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a shadow approaching him from below. He had no time to react as it reached his location and broke through the surface of the water with splash.

A gray wolf sporting blue trunks took a dive into the pool, swimming across it under the water before surfacing next to the stairs. It had gotten a bit too hot out for his tastes, and he relished the cool relief his now soaked fur had. Sure, he would have a slightly lingering smell, but he wasn’t the only wolf swimming at the party.

The force of the giant wolf sucked water in to fill the gaps left. Ben futilely attempted to swim faster, hoping to outrun the suction force that dragged him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t delay the inevitable, and he found himself sucked up against the wolf’s soppy wet pelt. As the fur he had found himself tangled in rose far from the water’s surface, he grabbed on tight to the coarse tuft of fur.

He had no time to wonder where exactly he was when the wolf’s arm closed down to his side, pinning the snow leopard in his armpit. The chlorinated water dripped out of the underarm fur keeping him prisoner. Slowly, the chemical smell was replaced by the musk of a wet wolf. The snow leopard could only gag at the scent, accidentally taking a clump of the fur into his mouth. He struggled to wiggle free, but to his dismay he lacked the power to break free from the tangle.

The wolf grabbed a gray towel from a table before beginning to towel himself off. He worked quickly to dry himself. He wasn’t willing to shake himself dry around this many people. As a result, the towel was soaking and stank of wolf by the time he got to his upper arms. He pressed the towel deep into his armpits, pressing the cloth in to really soak up all the water under there.

After a bit more time to dry, he was satisfied, placing the towel on a chair near the entrance. He took a quick look at the towel, noticing he seemed to have lost a small clump of his fur to the terrycloth. “Ugh, no more chlorine on my pelt I guess…” he grumbled.

Without a second thought, the wolf left to go find some people to talk to.

Ben was in hell. It was bad enough he was in some strange wolf’s underarms. To his dismay the wolf seemed hell-bent on wringing every drop of water from his pits with the towel that reeked of wet dog.

His saving grace was the wolf’s thorough drying had loosened the furs and he instead found himself clinging to the towel. This brought its own problems: A trip to the other armpit, being dragged across the firm pecs, and a quick floss between the wolf’s legs.

By the time the wolf had set his towel down, Ben was exhausted. He barely had the strength to hold on, let alone look for help. He lay against the towel, clinging to it to avoid falling down. He was doing his best to catch his breath and calm himself down, closing out everything around him.

Including the wolf’s gaze aimed directly at his tiny form.

By the time he opened his eyes and calmed his racing heart, the wolf was long gone.

The chair shook, threatening to dislodge the leopard from his safety. A hulking form sat down, leaning back but not yet resting its back against the seat. The tawny fur had a familiar clean cut to it, and a quick look down confirmed Ben’s suspicions: a bright red speedo.

Noah!

His heart soared. If there was one macro he could trust here, it was Noah. Sure, he had never told the lion about his true size, but he knew his friend cared. He was sure if he could just get Noah’s attention, he could convince the lion to save his ring from the pool and the pair could head back to Noah’s place or something. He didn’t care where, as long as it wasn’t here.

He opened his mouth to scream for Noah’s attention.

“No-ahhhhhhhhhh!” His scream meant to grab hold of his friend turned into a scream of panic. His hands had grown weak, and a simple shifting of the lion’s titanic form sent him plummeting down the back of the chair. He closed himself, bracing for impact against the hard plastic, liable to break at least a few of his bones.

But the thud never came. Instead, he landed on a soft surface before sliding a short distance until his body became lodged between two furry mounds. It was surprisingly warm, and - he gave a quick sniff - oddly familiar smelling. A comforting scent. Almost exactly like the manly scent of his friend and crush.

As two large claw tipped fingers approached from the sky, Ben sighed in relief. His friend had noticed him! He was fairly certain he was stuck between his massive friend’s musky ass cheeks. The natural scent of the lion filled the air around him, having been trapped against his fur by tight fitting rubber. Yet now two fingers descended to pluck him from this trap!

Ben reached out a hand to the approaching claws, only to be ignored as they pressed into the pelt above him. The lion idly scratched himself below his tail, massive fingers bumping against the tiny snow leopard’s head. He could only scream faintly as the movements began to push him deeper and deeper into the sweaty crack.

When his friend finally stopped his scratching, Ben found himself fully pinned between the tight cheeks, toned from many years of squats. He couldn’t even reach out to wave for help. His only saving grace was that his face at least remained partially free and he could gulp down air that was only very musky. He shuddered at the thought of if he’d ended up the other way.

He wiggled, attempting to free himself, before giving up. It was useless. He just had to wait for Noah to realize he was here. Surely it wouldn’t be long.

Noah looked around the party from his chair, trying to spot his snow leopard friend. Fifteen minutes had passed since he sat down, yet there’d been no sign of Ben. He shifted in his seat, moving his weight from one side to the other, in nervous anticipation. Did the snow leopard leave without him?

He felt his heart drop. He’d harbored a small crush on his friend for a few weeks now. He’d figured he could rescue his friend from this party and they could get some ice cream or something. Then while hanging out he’d ask the smaller cat out on a proper date.

But now? He wasn’t sure where the little guy was. As he grew more and more anxious, he felt an itch just below his tail, reaching down to give it a light scratching. He was doing his best to get comfortable. He figured he may be waiting a while if not through the end of the party in case his friend has ditched him.

As his fingers bumped against the top of his butt, he smiled as he remembered the looks he caught his friend giving his rump. Of course the snow leopard wouldn’t ditch him. Clearly Ben was just as into Noah as Noah was into him. He was determined to wait right here, where they agreed to meet, until the snow leopard showed up.

After all, Noah would give anything to get that cute little kitty under his ass.
