Tyler shut his eyes and tried to wake up.
The world around him rumbled, the ground beneath him vibrating violently in the pitch darkness, causing his head to pound with pain. The only explanation he could conjure for his situation was that he was fast asleep and having the most vivid nightmare of his life.
He could recall going to bed the previous night, he remembered getting up late to get a glass of water. After that there had been a loud noise... a bright light... it all twisted together in his memory, leaving him confused and frightened as he bounced along in the blackness around him. He had felt around for hints of his location, but the cool hard surface he sat on seemed to stretch out around him like a cylinder, as though he was encased in glass.
The clinking sounds with each violent bump or rumble seemed to support that theory, but he could not piece together how that could possibly make sense. Tyler felt dazed, but was lucid enough to try and investigate his surroundings. Feeling around did nothing for him, as he seemed to be surrounded by glass. Apart from the occasional rattle of glassware, the only sound he could hear seemed to be that of a huge engine, something similar to being on a plane or a truck.
The inertia around him shifted, making him stumble against the wall of his prison, and the sense of motion he felt around him stopped. The sound ceased, and his ears rang in its absence. He thought he could pick up the faint sound of distant voices. He tried to call out to them, his own voice echoing loudly in his own ears, but could not tell if anyone replied to him.
Tyler waited in the darkness for minutes before another sudden motion jolted him around again. He stumbled, not even bothering to pick himself back up as the motion swayed and bounced him around. He knew it was insanity, but it almost felt as though the motion was reminiscent of footsteps.
A sudden drop made Tyler gasp, the glass around him rattling loudly as his prison was dropped down a short distance. Feeling fearful yet again, Tyler sat up, looking around him in frustration in the hope of finding answers, only to feel blinded moments later when the ceiling opened up above him. Light poured down from above, making him squint and shield his eyes. He blinked, trying to force himself to adjust, as shadows danced over his head.
It took him a few moments, but he was soon able to gaze out above him. Glass surround him, towering high over his head and terminating in a dark metal lid punched with holes. A jar, he was inside of an enormous jar.
Tyler could only stare, wracking his mind to try and decipher what was going on around him. There were other jars in the larger container that held them. Tyler approached the glass wall, spotting other humans either passed out or looking just as perplexed as he felt. He met the eyes of the girl trapped just beside him, only just noticing that they were all naked, and felt himself blush at the though just moments before he gasped in shock, as the jar that held her launched upwards.
Stumbling back to the ground, Tyler stared up above him, unable to tell what was going on beyond the lid of his own jar, he stared for a few moments, before spotting something close around the upper portion of his jar. He braced himself just in time for his own jar to lift up into the air. He screamed, his naked body still sliding across the bottom of the glass despite his efforts to steady himself. The container soared high into the air, bringing him up high until he found himself staring right into the giant face of raccoon.
Tyler could only gape. The man has the body shape of a human, but was very clearly a raccoon. His face was covered with fur, gray around the head with black around the eyes, and looked right at him with a bored expression. Tyler felt his jar descend as he screamed in alarm, barely able to comprehend what was going on around him, and jolted as his jar was placed down on a shelf beside the girl that was taken just before him.
The motion ceased, Tyler had a few moments to gather his senses. He was in a grocery store. Shelves lined his entire field of view as far as he could see, though to him it looked more like a city-scape consisting mainly of boxes and jars. He scanned the shelf that held him, finding a long row of naked humans, each contained within individual jar's just like him, with the gigantic store employee pulling more out from the box that had until just recently held him.
Tyler did not know what to do, panic and fear and confusion yanking at him from all directions. The raccoon finished emptying the boxes full of helpless humans and stood up straight, hauling the giant empty boxes away and leaving them all alone on the shelf, the aisle they were in devoid of any others. He stood up, feeling around his jar and reaching at every nook and cranny he could reach, trying to find a crack or something that could help him reach the lid, but there was nothing. The girl next to him was tapping on the glass, looking horrified and trying to say something to him.
Tyler could not understand a word she was saying, the glass muffling her words and leaving him alienated within his prison. He tried to reply to the girl, miming that he could not hear her, his message apparently received as she ceased her attempts to communicate, her eyes wide and staring down the aisle. Tyler spun, spotting a small ground of giant humanoid animals walking down towards them. He gasped, taking an involuntary step back and hitting his head on the glass wall behind him. He slid down the wall, sitting at the far edge of the jar and watching as the giants grabbed some select items around them.
His heart was pounding. He could not take his eyes off of the giants that filled their baskets and carts as they shopped. A cheetah woman approached their section of the shelves, lowering herself down on her haunches and leaning down towards them. Tyler could only stare as her gaze passed over them, swearing that her eyes met his own as she studied the tiny humans before her. She leaned in closer to gaze at the shelf above him, his enormous furry cleavage nearly pressed up against the glass of his jar, eliciting a strange and confused jolt of his heart. She returned her attention to his shelf, her huge paw brushing up against his jar, making him start to pant in panic, before she clutched the jar of the girl next to him.
Tyler stared, the girl beside him lifted off of the shelf screaming in terror and reaching for him. He sat still, keeping his distance from the giant as she brought the jar up to her face, studying the contents with her tongue slightly protruded before placing it in her cart and walking away, taking the helpless human with her. Tyler felt himself sob, all the possible fates of the taken human coursing through his imagination. He shut his eyes and willed himself not to think about it, but could not help himself, his gaze constantly brought back to the absence of the girl's jar beside him.
He shivered, knowing it was only a matter of time before one of the plethora of giants around him selected his jar, and he would learn firsthand what fate lied before him. Every giant that passed made his heart leap with terror. Lizards, bears, cats, dogs, and foxes shuffled past him, a few giants laying their paws and claws on his jar, making him avert his eyes and willing them to leave him alone, and so far they had.
Hours passed, a select few jars were taken around him below him and above him, but he outlasted most. Holding onto a faint hope that he would be released if none of the giants took him, the willed the customers to overlook his jar, his fear and unease growing with each passing minute. A shadow loomed over his spot on the shelf once again, and Tyler glanced up at the gigantic heavyset elephant man that gazed down among the humans.
Tyler held his position, hoping against hope that this giant would pass over him just like the others, and felt the familiar jolt of a gigantic hand laid down over the top of his jar. He glanced up, the leather gray skin of its palm pressed up against the glass. To his horror, her felt his chamber lifted into the air. He shouted in dismay, screaming to be released as his jar was lifted high into the air, and placed right before the elephant's face. He looked into the gigantic sphere's it had for eyes, studying him the same was he would inspect a carton of eggs, before the man lowered his jar back down, placed, to Tyler's horror, into his basket of groceries.
Sobbing, Tyler tried to tune out what was going on around him. He buried his head in his arms, feeling the basket jolt around as the elephant continued his shopping, placing other food items on top of his jar and casing him in shadows once again.
The ordeal kept on with Tyler's vision obscured. His prison bounced around in the grocery basket for a length of time he did not bother to measure. Eventually, he found himself lifted up and placed on a checkout conveyor belt. He looked up banging his fist on the glass as the cashier glanced down at him, a young fox girl with bright blue hair and a bitter expression. She gave him the same look she gave the box of cereal scanned immediately before him, swept him over the sensor, and placed him within the large paper bag. Tyler felt tears continue to drip down his face. The scanner had read “$4.99” when his jar had been swiped.
The bag eventually began bouncing with the same rhythm as the basket, leading Tyler to believe the elephant was carrying him out of the store. He watched above him, limp against the glass wall, as he caught glimpses of light over to edge of the impossibly high wall of brown paper bag. The rustling of the container filled his ears, echoing within his jar and nearly drowning out his fearful sobs. The bag lurched, its contents clanking loudly as they settled, and the distant sound of an engine turning over told him he was not being driven to a new location.
The ride back to the elephant's residence was an uneventful one. Tyler wallowed in self pity for about an hour, finding himself becoming drowsy with the motion of the car, as well as equally exhausted from his relentless fear. The light faded from the tiny sliver of window he could glimpse as night covered the sky. Left in the now all too familiar darkness, Tyler waited for his fate, knowing there was nothing else he could do.
A jolt brought Tyler back to consciousness. He started, looking around and wondering when it was he had fallen back asleep. The bag around him was rustling again, but he was not moving. The box beside him lifted up out of the air, and Tyler realized that the elephant was unloading his groceries. Feeling anxious, he frantically started looking around, blinking his exhaustion away, a faint artificial light peeking through the gap in the bag above him. The huge looming figure of the elephant man came back into view, and Tyler soon found a huge gray hand wrapped around his jar.
He stumbled, trying to hold himself still as the glass tipped and wavered, lifted high into the air as the bag grew distant below him. He looked up, the hefty elephant lazily glancing into his jar before stepping across the colossal room in two strides, bringing him over to a high shelf and sliding his jar up alongside another. Tyler glanced to his side, finding within a frantic and disheveled looking human in a similar situation to himself. He watched the man scramble and pound at the glass, wondering what the guy was hoping would happen, as the elephant continued to put his groceries away.
Tyler, slumped against the glass, simply buried his head in his fingers and tried to take deep breaths. He could hear faint shouting from the other human, but ignored him, not wanting to feel as trapped and helpless as the other man looked. Below him, the elephant started preparing some food. Anxious, Tyler glanced below him, spotting the giant dropping dried paste in a pot of boiling water. His heart was pounding, what exactly was he going to do with them? Being placed in the kitchen did not seem to indicate anything good. At best, Tyler thought, they would be pets or decorations, and at worst...
He head himself sob involuntarily, clutching his mouth right after, and shaking himself to get the thoughts out of his head. The elephant served himself a bowl of pasta, turning his head upwards to study their jars. Tyler shut his eyes, willing the jar to not move, praying that the elephant would lift up the other human instead of him, and feeling a little despicable at the thought. A scrape of glass of wood made Tyler open one eyes, and he nearly gasped, either from fear or relief, to find the elephant holding the other jar, and carrying the flailing human out around the corner.
The gigantic room grew still and quiet. The elephant was gone, as was the other human. Tyler held his breath, trying to listen. He thought he could detect a gentle clinking of silverware, but it was too faint to be sure. An hour passed, without so much as a sound to give Tyler a hint of what was going on outside of his view. After a while, the elephant slid back into view, making Tyler jump and shout, started at the sudden appearance, and drop an empty bowl and jar into the sink.
Tyler stared for a few seconds before breaking down into uncontrollable sobs once again. The lights flickered out around him, and he jumped, blinking tears out of his eyes and looking around frantically for the elephant man, but there was nothing. He must have gone to bed for the night. Now knowing without a doubt was fate lay before him, Tyler did not delude himself with hope. He got to his knees, wondering if he could cause enough of a jolt to knock the jar off of the shelf he was stored on. He peered over the edge, immediately overcome with vertigo at the drop before him, barely able to see the floor in the dark kitchen. What was only a few feet for the elephant was something akin to fifteen stories for Tyler. Knowing a drop from here would surely result in his death, he resigned himself to sit back down on the far end of the jar, and sob until he drifted back off to sleep.
The sound of the fridge slamming shut caused his shelf to rumble, pulling Tyler out of his restless sleep. For a few brief seconds he had convinced himself the ordeal had been an uncomfortable dream, that there was no change he was sitting on the shelf of a gigantic elephant man, waiting to be consumed. The feeling did not last, as dread slowly crept over him while he watched the all too real elephant preparing its breakfast below him.
The giant was clothed in nothing but boxers and a long white robe, his bare chest decked with wrinkly gray skin and the occasional coarse hair. Tyler shook, uneasy at the knowledge that his doom was looming before him. Was he to be killed for breakfast this morning? Or would he get to stew on this shelf for longer than that, knowing it was only a matter of time before he met the same end as the last human to go.
The elephant grabbed a small bowl from a his cabinet, pouring dry oatmeal into it while an electric kettle heated water beside him. Tyler watched, unable to tear his gaze away, as the giant went about this disturbingly ordinary morning routine, grabbing a carton of orange juice and briefly disappearing around the corner before stepping back in and waiting beside the kettle. The giant's gaze wandered around the room, landing sleepily on Tyler's jar and causing the terrified human to panic.
He averted his eyes, feeling the tear up once again and he sniffed, his throat dry from the lack of having anything to drink. A click sounded below him, and he looked over the edge of the shelf again as the elephant was pouring hot water into his bowl of oatmeal. The giant stirred it for a few moments before lifting the bowl up into one hand and then, to his horror, stepped up to Tyler's shelf and laid the other hand over his jar.
Tyler shouted as he was lifted into the air once more, dropping down at roller coaster-like speed and swung in an arc as the elephant walked him out of the room. He stumbled in his jar, unable to hold onto anything as he hit one side after the other, carried off into a small dining room. The jar thudded on the top of a table that might as well have been the size of an entire football field, and the elephant sat down just beside him.
Tyler looked around frantically, the knowledge of what laid before him reigniting his will to live. He searched for something, anything he could do to prevent the giant from eating him, but he was still trapped in the jar. The elephant clinked a spoon around his bowl, steam emitting from the oatmeal as the man tipped a smaller container of honey in with it.
A hand gripped the edge of the jar, making Tyler stare up as the other gripped the lid. A tight squeaking sound filled the container as the lid was twisted off, popping up above him and causing a gentle breeze to waft into Tyler's prison, the faint scent of oatmeal coming along with it. The jar lifted up off the ground again, this time tilting on its side. Tyler didn't have any time to plan an escape, the moment his feet steadied themselves on the reoriented jar, the slope increased again. He looked up towards the opening just as the opening became down, and he fell.
A loud splat followed a an intense heat overcame Tyler. He sputtered, gasping and trying to push himself up, flailing around in the thick and sticky oatmeal until his legs sunk enough to feel the bottom of the bowl and he was able to push his face free of the slop. He took a deep breath, gasping at the heat and the impact. The bowl was like the side of a nice hot tub, with a comparable temperature as well. The oatmeal was hot, but not hot enough to scald him. He stood up straight, trying to slosh his way to the edge of the bowl when a huge metal wall came down in front of him, digging against his knees and causing him to stumble to his side.
He splatted back down against the surface of the oatmeal, the spoon just barely avoiding lifting him up into the air. Tyler watched, a scared fascination overwhelming his desire to flee, as the elephant stuck the heaping spoon into its mouth, dragging it against its lips as it was pulled back out, and swallowed the contents seconds later, a faint bulge descending the inside of its neck. His heart racing, Tyler rolled onto his stomach, trying in vain to swim through the thick substance, but having no success. The spoon dug down around him again, causing him to scream and flail as he was lifted a few inches out of the bowl, before he successfully heaved himself off, plopping painfully back down into the sticky contents again.
Stuck yet again, Tyler needed precious moments to get back into a position where he was capable to maneuvering through the oatmeal, moments that he did not ever get, as each time he made it close to the edge, the spoon came back, nearly taking him away time and time again. Frustrating and nearly weeping at his helplessness, Tyler clutched at the edge of the bowl, gasping in exhaustion with his arms shaking. He felt weak and tired, only just then thinking to gulp down a handful of oatmeal in the hopes it would give him any amount of energy that he needed to combat his fate when the all to familiar spoon pushed up against him again.
This time his knees buckled in such a way that he found himself flat on his back, laying on top of the heaping spoonful of oatmeal. He arced himself side to side until he could reach the edge of the spoon, only to find himself far higher in the air than he thought he would be. A fall from this height would surely incapacitate him, leaving him completely helpless to escape. A gust of warm air washed over his back, dreading what would be waiting behind him him, Tyler turned, find himself face to gaping maw.
The elephant held back its trunk with one hand, moving the spoon towards the dark opening with its waiting tongue with the other. Tyler moaned in horror, wishing he had taken his change with the fall, as it was now too late. He spun around in the spoonful of oatmeal, turning away from the maw just in time to see the elephant's lips and teeth pass over him, moving downwards rapidly and clenching down over the handle of the spoon before Tyler could even scream.
Darkness overtook him, the putrid humidity engulfing his body. The heat from the oatmeal warming the damp cavern in seconds. Tyler stumbled, grasping at the edges of the spoon as he felt it shift below him. Panicked, he held on for dear life, sputtering as the oatmeal heaved up in front of him, the spoon dragging against the elephant's closed lips. Tyler was pressed into the giant's slick teeth, his hands briefly tugged back out through the beast's pursed lips, and felt that last glimpse of cool air against his slimy skin before the rest of his body plopped down on the slimy tongue, which slither in between his chest as the the elephant's teeth, and making Tyler recoil in panic.
He had let go of the spoon. The realization hit him just before a tugging suction pulled his arms back into the elephant's mouth, tumbling him back onto the giant's soft and spongy tongue along with a pool of saliva and oatmeal. The huge muscle lifted him upwards, pressing his naked body up against the roof of the elephant's mouth. The hard ribbed flesh held him in place while the hot soft muscle below him coursed over his skin. The slimy appendage dragged itself all along Tyler's exposed and vulnerable body, his back pressed uncomfortably up against the firm pressure above him while the slippery muscle cradled and caressed his front.
The pressure against him momentarily increased, a squelching swallow rippling up around the elephant's maw and expelling the collected oatmeal and slobber down through the giant's throat, with Tyler's body thankfully held tightly in place against the elephant's palate. Tyler wailed in despair, trying to push the enormous was of slimy meat away from his body, but it simply could not be done. The tongue was so massive that a push from his tiny feeble hands did not impede the elephant's suckling motions in any way whatsoever. His arms were simply pushed out of the way, pressed up against his stomach as the warm flesh wiped slimy and drool over his every inch, soaking his entire body in the vile liquid within seconds.
Tyler tried to shield himself form the ordeal, to put his arms in front of his face and his groin to spare the sensitive areas of his body from being bulldozed by the powerful appendage as it tasted him relentlessly, but every time his arms were simply shoved over with the immense force. His body ached and tingled, the constant rubbing of the tongue wearing him down more than he though possible, before the sticky and slimy thing manage to dig its way around him, flipping his body over so that his front was pressed into the hard and firm flesh above while the tongue worked on his back side. The ordeal repeated, the slimy muscle gliding up and down his back, his ass, and his feet, his body involuntarily arcing at the ticklish sensation the licking caused, but Tyler helplessly being able to do nothing about it.
After what could only have been hours, the tongue seemed to cease, releasing its pressure against the roof of the elephant's mouth and allowing Tyler to gasp and tremble on it's soft surface. He heaved himself up to his knees, tendrils of drool forming lines form his body body to the far corner of the elephant's cavernous maw. He barely had time to take two breaths before the world around him lurched backwards.
The swallow happened in slow motion. He was thrown back by the elephant's tongue, his feet almost immediately buried in the puckered tube behind him. His slime coated body glided frictionlessly against the slick muscles around him, with the bulk of the elephant's tongue raising up before him, the pressure around him slowly creating suction pulling him downwards. The muscle around his feet began to tug at him before the passage violently opened, the tongue pressing hard against his upper half and forcing his slippery body helplessly downwards.
Gulp.
Saliva pooled around him as he dropped a short distance before the fleshy walls rapid closed tightly around his body, feeling as though he was plunged down into a pool of warm water, the tight walls pressed up against his ears, cutting off all sounds that were not the slimy inner working of the giant's body. Tyler wanted to cry, wanted to scream, but the elephant's oppressive esophagus would not allow any of it. The tight tube of relentlessly crawling flesh rippled around him, dragging him deeper and deeper into the giant's body. He flailed, reaching helplessly up above him as he fell and fell, feeling as though he was on a disgusting water slide as he was squeezed down into the elephant's stomach, collected drool making the horrific descent with him.
Tyler's naked body wound down through the elephant's throat, the bulges of flesh bumping out at him as hid body curled around them, his feet breaching down between the folds of flesh as the seemingly endless tube of meat dragged ever onward. Tyler thrashed every which way he could manage, arcing his body forward and backward, with the contour of the esophagus matching his movements, pressing against his regardless of what he did, refusing to part its slimy walls from his helpless body. Tyler froze, ceasing his movements just in time to hear the steady thump thump of the giant's heartbeat, echoing down below him for just a moment, before the sound was suddenly above him.
Now able to gauge just how deep into the elephant's body he had slid, Tyler felt himself slump in surrender. His lack of motion did nothing to deter the relentless motion of the giant's peristalsis, as the crawling and tingling motion continued to ripple relentlessly up bis body. He willed the ordeal to end, one way or another, as his feet press down into a hot chamber beneath him. He squirmed in the esophagus, his naked body easily pressing through the valve to the giant's belly, knowing there was no hope for him. The tight entrance swept up his body, leaving him to drop a short distance in darkness that made the paper bag seem like it had been blinding.
He splashed into the elephant's stomach. Gasping a mouthful of the most rancid air he had ever breathed. Tyler gagged, his naked body submerged almost up to his shoulders as he kneeled in the fluid-filled stomach. Partially digested oatmeal coated the smelly and slimy chamber, which gurgled loudly around him as splatters of the mush plopped down in the pool around him. Tyler gagged and sobbed simultaneously, trying to skim through the horrible atmosphere over to the wall of the elephant's stomach. He pressed his fist up against the slick walls, for some reason afraid to unclench his hands, and pushed against the springy surface. The walls gave about an inch before churning in around him, the fluid level rising briefly and nearly fully engulfing his body before receding once again.
The smell was unbearable. Tyler tried to press his nose into his arms to escape it but there was not use, the slimy concoction coated his entire being. It was as though he was deeply breath the elephant's horrid breath, only ten times stronger as he was currently stewing among the source. The decaying oatmeal mixed with the overwhelming vinegar-like acids was too much to bear, causing Tyler's eyes to tear up, though in fairness they had already been doing that.
Tyler tried to get to his feet, failing with each attempt as the writhing flesh that made up the stomach floor was impossible to hold steady on. He splattered down into the mixture of oatmeal and juices both stomach and orange. Each breath gave him less and less air, the stale and acidic air that filled his lungs leaving him feeling tingly and exhausted. He tried to keep his arms above the level of the fluids in the dark stomach, constantly hearing the dripping from his skin back down into the disgusting slough that contained him. He did not have much time left.
Weeping, his body convulsing with horror and involuntary sobs, Tyler continued to wander helplessly around the cramped chamber of flesh and food. He had been swallowed, he kept thinking to himself, swallowed alive. He was nothing but food now, left alone to digest away in the elephant's putrid stomach just like the other human must have done the previous night. Another bite of slobber drenched oatmeal splashed down from above him, landing heavily on his head and filling the fleshy prison with a few more inches of the grimy slush.
The giant's belly let out a long groan and gurgle, the walls convulsing again and causing the fleshy surfaces to ripple around Tyler's body. The folds of flesh caught his wandering arm, leaving him stuck for a few brief moments while the every rising tide of rancid stomach sludge engulfed Tyler's body. His dizziness getting the better of him, Tyler ceased his struggles, no longer having the energy to wriggle uselessly among the slimy stomach contents. He tilted his head up, taking in one last long breath of oxygen-less stale air, and let the gentle swaying motion of the elephant's belly cradle him off. He let himself drift below the surface of the sludge and juices, the folds of flesh enveloping him in the darkness as hid body drifted off to the sounds of the wet squelching around him.
